GRAND HYATT BERLIN NAMED “BEST CONTEMPORARY GRAND HOTEL” BY SPANISH MAGAZINE DIAVARAM

Berlin—August 21, 2006—Spanish magazine Diavaram has named Grand Hyatt Berlin “Best Contemporary Grand Hotel” in its current Berlin issue.

“I am delighted that the modern design and architecture of our hotel was successful in achieving this title,” says Fred Hürst, area vice president of Hyatt International and General Manager of the hotel at Potsdamer Platz. “Grand Hyatt Berlin was at first perceived as being too modern and was clearly ahead of its time. Yet, our consequent commitment to a modern spirit in product design, marketing and communication, combined with firstclass service, has borne fruit, making recognition as the ‘Best Contemporary Grand Hotel’ particularly gratifying,” he adds.

Diavaram is a private, unbiased guide that examines the most exclusive hotels and resorts in the world, with each issue analyzing one or two international destinations. The magazine’s team anonymously reviews each property as a regular paying guest, evaluating the level of service, the interior design and architecture, the comfort of the rooms and suites, and the quality of the food in the hotel’s restaurants. Diavaram recommends its favorite hotels to its Spanishspeaking readers from such countries as Spain, Argentina, Mexico, Venezuela, Uruguay and Chile, as well as those from Italy, France and the United Kingdom.

Diavaram is published six times a year and readers receive the magazine on an annual subscription basis. It is acknowledged as one of the most prestigious Spanishlanguage hotel publications available. Visit www.diavaram.com for more details.
