Hyatt International to Open Hyatt Regency Ekaterinburg, Russia in 2008

Hyatt International (EAME) LLC and LLC “Verh-Isetskaya Investment Construction Company” have announced that definitive agreements have been signed for Hyatt to operate the new 300-room Hyatt Regency Ekaterinburg. Construction is being carried out by Bouygues Bâtiment International LLC and the hotel is scheduled to open in 2008. The hotel is set to be Hyatt’s second property in Russia, and forms part of Hyatt’s continuing development within the country that also includes Grand Hyatt Moscow, which is set to open later the same year.

Located in the city centre, on the bank of the River Iset, Hyatt Regency Ekaterinburg has been designed by renowned architects Valode & Pistre of Paris. In keeping with the Hyatt Regency concept, the hotel will reflect the city’s flavour in the design of its 300 generously sized rooms and suites. In addition, all guestrooms will offer the latest contemporary requirements of the modern business and leisure traveller. For added privacy the hotel will offer Regency Club accommodation, providing the executive traveller with private access to a boardroom and the Regency Club lounge.

Hyatt Regency Ekaterinburg will also include over 2,400 square metres of conference and banqueting space. An 600-square-metre ballroom, six meeting rooms and two boardrooms provide ample space to cover a wide variety of meetings requirements; from discrete board meeting to large banquets and State functions. Guests will have the choice of dining in one of two restaurants, a lounge and a bar. The hotel’s main restaurant will feature an open kitchen with wood-burning oven while the hotel’s Asian restaurant includes its own open kitchen alongside a charcoal grill, woks and steamers. Only the finest meat and seafood will be used, grilled to perfection. Situated on the ground floor, with a stunning centre-piece fireplace, the bar offers traditional European dining alongside an exquisite selection of spirits and cigars. At the heart of the hotel is the lobby lounge allowing visitors to relax in the urban buzz of an international hotel. The lobby lounge will serve European and Russian specialities and offer a unique selection of premium coffees and teas.

Other facilities include an extensive roof-top Spa including a Private Traditional Russian Bania., a Health and Fitness Centre, an indoor pool and car parking space for 230 cars.
