HYATT REGENCY LA MANGA UNVEILS ITS STUNNING NEW LOOK

La Manga Club, Spain, August 2007 -Hyatt Regency La Manga in south-eastern Spain's award-winning La Manga Club resort has just unveiled its stunning new look, which is part of a comprehensive 10-million euro refurbishment programme.

Redefining the resort hotel experience

The work of interior designer, Jaime Beriestain, the aim is to create a relaxing, refreshing ambience that strikes guests the moment they enter the newly designed lobby; an immediate "feel good" sensation after a perhaps tiring journey. The new lobby is timeless and elegant in calming sand and natural tones. Huge windows let natural light flood in and add a touch of colour with views across the lush golf courses. Artwork has been chosen to reflect the resort experience and includes stunning black & white prints of palm trees, marine fossils and driftwood forms.

New restful rooms with natural inspiration

There are currently 69 restyled rooms available (including 29 exclusive Regency Club rooms and suites) with a further 50 coming back in spring 2008. For the Regency Club accommodations, the décor brings together a variety of natural materials in a relaxing, naturally-inspired palette of colours. Hand-embroidered pictures of seashells in the bedroom and real shells in the bathroom complete the experience. For the standard guestrooms the chosen look is again calm and refreshing with a wealth of different textures, tones and forms adding to the interest.

In all rooms, the vibrancy of the views from the balcony provides the perfect complement and contrast to the serene interior, whilst 32" flat-screen LCD TVs provide guests with a choice of in-room entertainment including multi-language satellite channels, Internet, movies and games.

A whole new flavour for the hotel’s bars

Opened in July 2007, Hyatt Regency La Manga's new Regency Club Lounge exudes an air of calm and exclusivity. The colour scheme follows the same tone-on-tone principles of the public areas of the hotel with spiral motifs providing an interesting accent. Shelves of books invite Club guests to relax and spend some time in their own private sanctuary, whilst the adjoining boardroom is perfect for business meetings. Also new is the welcoming, open-plan Lobby Bar with its unusual shelving, maritime instruments, contemporary fireplace and original accessories. The Piano Bar, opened in March 2007, is a stylish evening entertainment venue in warm café latte and chocolate tones and a multitude of shapes and textures, with striking backlit chiller cabinets offering a wide choice of international vodkas and cocktails. The cuisine is equally eclectic offering a medley of tempting Middle Eastern and Asian specialties. In the late evening the ambience steps up with top-class piano entertainment 7 nights a week.

The next stage in the refurbishment is scheduled for completion in spring 2008 and will involve the redecoration of a further 50 guest rooms and cosmetic enhancements to the banqueting facilities, ensuring that celebrations, meetings and conferences will be all the more memorable.
