The new Hyatt Regency Trinidad Hotel welcomed its first guest on January 29^th, 2008. In celebration of the arrival of the first guest, a red carpet welcome was rolled out for Mr. Craig Simpson of Houston, Texas who, on entering the hotel, was greeted by the Hyatt Regency Trinidad General Manager and it’s staff, who lined the main lobby area of the hotel. Mr. Simpson, who’s here on business, expressed his joy and surprise at being the first guest. “I have received such a tremendous welcome and it’s overwhelming! I knew the hotel was new but I did not know that I would be the first guest. The hotel is superb and it’s been a wonderful first day”.

According to General Manager, Russell George, “Over the past few months our staff has been hard at work training and preparing to welcome all of our guests to the hotel. We are excited to be in Trinidad and to be a new member of the hospitality sector. We look forward not only to receiving our guests, but also to hosting many events and conferences at Hyatt Regency Trinidad”.
