Hyatt proudly announced today that it has been named a recipient of the 2013 Gallup Great Workplace Award for the second consecutive year. The annual award recognizes Hyatt for having one of the most engaged and productive workforces in the world.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) today debuted its fifth brand in India with the official rebranding of five hotels to “Hyatt”: Hyatt Bangalore MG Road, Hyatt Hyderabad Gachibowli, Hyatt Pune, Hyatt Amritsar, and Hyatt Ahmedabad. The new Hyatt hotels join the 11 properties open throughout India operating under the Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, and Hyatt Place brands.  

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced today the start of the Hyatt Thrive Global Month of Community Service where associates at Hyatt hotels and resorts around the world will volunteer to give back to the communities they call home. Today, Hyatt also unveils a Commit To Thrive social pledge campaign, which asks associates, guests, and neighbors to take an online pledge to commit to making a positive difference in their communities. For each pledge taken up to 35,000, Hyatt will donate a book to a child in need through Room to Read and We Give Books. 

Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Chesapeake Lodging Trust and Real Hospitality Group announce the opening of Hyatt Place New York/Midtown-South, marking the first Hyatt Place property to debut in New York City. The new Midtown Manhattan location represents a move into downtown urban locations for the upscale select service brand, which has grown by nearly 18 percent in the past three years.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced the appointment of Alex Zoghlin as the company’s first global head of technology. In this role, Zoghlin will be responsible for all aspects of Hyatt’s technology platform and systems. Zoghlin joins Hyatt with more than 20 years of technology experience, including over 10 years in the travel and real estate industries, including founding Orbitz.
