PARK HYATT PARIS VENDÔME AWARDED #1 IN PARIS AND IN EUROPE, #2 HOTEL IN THE WORLD BY INSTITUTIONAL INVESTOR

PARIS—November 22, 2005—Park Hyatt ParisVendôme is proud to announce its standing as the #1 Hotel in Paris and in Europe and the #2 Hotel in the World in Institutional Investor’s World’s Best Hotels Poll, an annual survey in its 25th year. Opened in 2002, Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme is a relatively young hotel that has already impressed thousands of visitors the world over with its exceptional design, superior service, and understated luxury.

Michel Jauslin, General Manager and Area Vice President, has been with the hotel since the opening, citing the hotel as “a kind of dream project.” He says, “We provide luxury with a contemporary, feel at home, down to earth touch.”

Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme has given Paris, which has been dazzling visitors for centuries, a unique alternative, swathing all who enter in subdued grandeur. In a league of its own, the 178room hotel is ideally situated in the heart of the city, next to Place Vendôme, a short stroll from Place de la Concorde, the Opéra, and the exclusive shops on Faubourg St. Honoré.

World renowned designer Ed Tuttle combined classic Parisian style with imaginative flair that offer a stunning series of sights and experiences throughout the hotel. Its art collection features originals by international contemporary masters including Ed Paschke, Sam Gilliam, and Roseline Granet, who has been referred to as “the Rodin of our century.” Together with Hyatt, Tuttle’s vision for Vendôme was to build a hotel that reflects the pristine qualities of Parisian lifestyle, using fine craftsmanship to create a timeless, majestic aura.

Institutional Investor conducted the survey among top financial executives and asked them to rate hotels they have visited recently on a scale of 1 to 100. The scores were then averaged and ranked according to a formula that assigns greater weight to those participants who are the most frequent travelers. Any hotel requires a significant number of votes to qualify. Institutional Investor’s readers surveyed spent an average of 62 nights in a hotel last year and are among the most affluent and influential people in America, with an average household income $817,000.
