Chicago, IL (May 6, 2008) – Following the announcement of Restaurant Magazine’s (UK) S. Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards in London on April 21, 2008, Made in China, Grand Hyatt Beijing’s popular northern Chinese restaurant, led by Executive Chef Martin Aw Yong, was selected to the Nespresso World’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy’s new Regional Recommendations list.
To establish the World’s 50 Best awards, judges may not vote for more than two restaurants in their own geographical region. This year, the judges were asked to name the next 5 restaurants that they would recommend in their region. Each of the nearly 700 judges of the Nespresso Academy belongs to one of 23 regions returning 23 lists of Regional Recommendations.

Made in China, Grand Hyatt Beijing’s internationally acclaimed restaurant, designed with flair by Japanese firm SuperPotato, features specialties from northern China, including Peking Duck and Beggar's Chicken, served in innovative presentations.
