HYATT REGENCY DFW COMPLETES $50-MILLION TRANSFORMATION
Hyatt’s final phase features new Enterprise ballroom and Executive Conference Level

DFW AIRPORT, TX (May 26, 2009) – Hyatt Regency DFW announces the completion of its $50-million transformation featuring newly renovated 21,000+ square foot Enterprise ballroom and Executive Conference Level (ECL). CMMI, based in Atlanta, GA, was chosen for both the ballroom and ECL design projects, which complement the award-winning, contemporary style of the hotel’s new guest rooms, restaurants and public areas.

Hyatt Regency DFW’s $50-million transformation, including four phases of the project, was launched in summer 2003, resulting in new restaurants, zero-edge pool, 92,000 square feet of meeting space and 74 individual meeting rooms, 811 oversized guest rooms and garnering a total of eight design, industry and readers choice awards.

21,120 square foot Enterprise ballroom features new millwork, coordinating chandeliers, carpeting, air walls and lighting. 11,600 square foot Executive Conference Level (ECL) renovation offers reconfigured spaces that can be used as 12 individual board rooms with pre-function space or as four  500-square feet pre-set boardrooms with four rooms at 650-1,000 square feet for dinners/receptions overlooking airport runways with a choice of downtown Dallas/Las Colinas or Fort Worth view. ECL features the convenience of sleeping and meeting rooms all on one floor.

“We are very pleased with the completion of our $50-million transformation,” said Larry Daniels, general manager of Hyatt Regency DFW. “Hyatt Regency DFW is literally new from the inside out. We have successfully balanced the needs of our group and leisure guests with a premiere product that has consistently received favorable feedback and awards.”

Phase III was completed in summer of 2007 and included renovation of all 811 oversized, guest rooms with 32-inch flat screen HDTVs, desks on casters allowing easy flexibility with the award-winning Humanscale Liberty task chair, iHome Stereos and Hyatt Grand Beds. Guest baths were also renovated with marble and tile incorporating a towel cubby into the vanity. Upgraded guest corridors serve as an extension of the lobby in style and coloration.

The second phase of the hotel’s renovation, which was completed in summer 2005, included renovation of the hotel’s meeting space, wireless high-speed Internet access, Janus electronic displays, a permanent Texas Business exhibit throughout the hotel and a Presidential suite upgrade. Phase I resulted in a zero-edge pool, new lobby/front desk, Jett’s coffee bar, ACE’S lobby bar, Jacob’s Spring Grille, the 4,832-square-foot Innovation ballroom which overlooks the pool, VIP suites, new front drive, and Made-In-Texas exhibit hall upgrades.
