Hyatt Centric Downtown Nashville Opens Today in Nashville's SoBro District
The 252-room Nashville hotels marks the latest opening for Hyatt's rapidly growing lifestyle brand

CHICAGO (July 29, 2021) – Joint Venture Partners, Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE:H) and C. B. Ragland Company today announced the opening of Hyatt Centric Downtown Nashville in Music City’s SoBro neighborhood. The hotel is located two blocks off the iconic Broadway Street and is centrally located within walking distance of the renowned dining, entertainment, and cultural experiences for which Nashville is known. With 252 guestrooms including 11 suites and floor to ceiling windows offering sweeping views of the Cumberland River, this new lifestyle hotel provides adventurous travelers an immersive experience in the heart of the action.

Every element of Hyatt Centric Downtown Nashville was custom designed to reflect the character and charm of Southern living. The hotel features a diverse and striking collection of artwork from more than 20 local artists, curated in collaboration with the Nashville Artist Collective. Upon entry, guests will immediately see a custom wall covering featuring the Tennessee state bird and silhouettes of native flora, while the lounge area is highlighted by a ceiling painted in a bold shade of blue, reminiscent of the hues seen on the ceilings of Southern porches. The focal point is a stunning chandelier that pays homage to country music thanks to its metal detailing inspired by outfits worn on stage by country music singers. In keeping with Nashville’s reputation as a hotspot for honkytonks and live music, the property boasts a music inspired lobby equipped with a piano, record player, and collection of vinyl records. The hotel’s ninth floor will feature the city’s newest rooftop pool and bar, two lounge areas, meetings rooms with individual outdoor terraces and fitness center with expansive views of downtown.

Suite Offerings

The 10 standard corner suites feature wraparound windows and views, wet bars, millwork closets, breakfast tables, a generous L-shaped sofa bed and an upgraded five fixture bath space, complete with a freestanding, two-tone tub. The Presidential Suite offers the most luxe living arrangements, with custom millwork, full-sized refrigerator/freezer, a vanity area, and – in true Nashville fashion – a record player and curated vinyl, vintage arcade game system, and custom ping-pong table.

Culinary Experiences

Hyatt Centric Downtown Nashville boasts a signature three-meal restaurant and bar, Ella’s, named for co-owner Michael Hayes’s grandmother, which offers classic southern cuisine. At Ella’s, guests will enjoy gracious Southern hospitality in a sophisticated atmosphere. The culinary delight continues at Lala’s, the hotel’s ninth-floor rooftop pool bar and restaurant offering an extensive rose menu, specialty cocktails as well as a menu serving light, poolside bites.

Meetings + Events with a View

The hotel features approximately 7,600 square feet of meeting space, conveniently located on one floor and all aptly named for a different musical instrument, including the Harmonica Boardroom and Tambourine Lounge. The 2,000 square-foot Mandolin ballroom is thoughtfully designed to inspire micro-weddings and receptions, with the flexibility to host corporate meetings and events, while the adjoined outdoor terrace complements any function with views from the ninth floor.

Design Inspiration

Designed by Nashville-based Hastings in collaboration with interior design from Stonehill Taylor, Hyatt Centric Downtown Nashville replicates the charm of Southern living, while staying true to the electric, youthful, fun, and spirited Hyatt Centric brand. Nashville is a city steeped in vibrant history and culture and the design of the hotel was inspired by the native Nashvillian and the "regional nomad." While the hotel feels comfortable, homey, and true to its Nashville roots, it also has a uniqueness that reflects the life of an adventurer.

Location, Location, Location

Savvy travelers with an adventurous spirit will experience the city’s pride, soul, and beat in the heart of SoBro. Two blocks south of Broadway, Hyatt Centric Downtown Nashville is just steps away from the Ascend Amphitheater, Country Music Hall of Fame, Music City Center, Schermerhorn Symphony Center, National Museum of African American Music, The Johnny Cash Museum, Ryman Auditorium and renowned honky-tonk bars, serving as a launchpad for exploration.
